Placebo Effect

Have you ever been cured for any disease or health related problems by any suggestion provided by the nearest or the dearest or the most trustworthy around you? Incase, if you had been, then, congrats. Convey my wishes to them. But the fact is split into two here. First, is that the suggestion or solution mite be an outcome or result of their own experiences. The other, is that it mite a word of mouth solution passed down from our predecessors. The reason is that we never care about these facts when our problem is cured. But when it doesn’t, then we arrive at a conclusion that someone has played a prank at you, at the cost of your health.
A placebo effect is termed as an effect that is a result of a notion perceived even before the cure is provided, making us believe or trust the cure provided that it would work for sure. You have a headache, and your girlfriend tells you to take some rest for a while after having lunch, promising that you would be fine when you wake up. And as it is a suggestion of the most loved one, you sleep without any further questions. And a kiss on the forehead, then black-out. Later in the evening, you feel no pain when you get out of the bed. You feel brisk and ready for a party. And you are forced to believe that the sleep suggested by your girlfriend has done the magic. But the real fact could have been, the sleep would have acted only as a catalyst to the cure. Where the real headache would have been cured by the lunch and the mid day hunger would have caused headache. So the placebo effect here is the belief that your headache had been cured by the sleep suggested by your girlfriend. So the next time when you have a headache, listen to your mother and eat your breakfast and your lunch. Listen to your girlfriend only when she would be kissing your forehead!!!!
